On TRUST

They say, No man is an island. We need to be with people. I wanted to be with REAL PEOPLE --- no pretensions, no back fighters, no talk shit. Oh, it’s so hard to look for friends whom you can TRUST 100%. I found one in Xave (I found a best friend in him) and very few friends, but would love to have more. In this world full of envious, jealous and selfish people, it is difficult to find one. Like designer bags, there are lots and tons of “copy, fake, knockoffs and imitations” --- getting into my nerves!!! *waaaaa!*

I believe I’ve mentioned this in one of my previous posts…

I admit I like nice things. But I believe that material things are meant to be used and PEOPLE ARE MEANT TO BE LOVED, and NOT the other way around. I wonder why some people treat me as an object..(not SEX object ha) but something/someone that they own….or deprive other people to be with. Soooo selfish! It’s hard to forgive people like them. So guys, BEWARE!

I also believe that in life, you always get what you deserve. So if you want good things to come your way, be good to other people.

Life is so beautiful. Why waste it with unnecessary emotions and unworthy people?

Whew! Have a life! Grow up, kiddo!

On Being Jobless

After all the vacation I/we had, I’m now starting to get bored. However, I still thank Multiply (I seldom open my Friendster now…), at least somehow I still have something to do…but then again, I wanted something that will challenge my mind or at least keep me busy.

Before, (after leaving HP) I was able to master doing French tip and hot oil on myself. When I was still working and driving myself to work, I was able to learn how to do my make up on stoplights. Now, (after resigning from Samsung) I’m so into nail painting. I bought a dozen of bottles in different colors and wanted to change my nail polish (and Amae’s) every week and maybe twice a week to match with my Havaianas. Am I getting vain now? Or it’s just my artistic side that is starting get developed?

I was able to receive a couple of job offers from I.T. companies (again) but decided to just let it pass. Thinking there are people who needed that job more than me. Don’t get me wrong. I am not being boastful. I have nothing to brag in the first place. I just can’t force myself to be “into” something I am not interested anymore (as I write this blog…hehehe) This time, I wanted to do something that will tickle my fancy, something that will keep my interests high, something different. Getting paid for doing something of your interests or something you like is PRICELESS! That is my dream job.

I was able to save enough for my plans of being bum in months. People who are close to me know that I’m no “money girl”. Of course we need moolah but it won’t make my world go round. As long as I’m with my loved ones, I can still smile, laugh and live.

Being financially independent helps a lot, though. One can make decisions and doesn’t need to rely on anybody. If you feel like quitting your job, you can just do it.

I strongly believe that life is NOT all about money (I know, I always say this...). Being jobless doesn't make you less of a person and doesn't mean you have to be lifeless. *wink* Bottom line, you know where you are headed to.

Boracay Bliss

I’m finally back, whew! ☺ What a wonderful summer!!! ☺

Spent my 4 days in Boracay with Xave and friends. Xave’s family followed however, stayed in different hotel. (soooo far away! I almost lost my breath whilst walking to their place at 12 noon…) Anyway, we have bonded way enough during our HK trip. It’s time to be with friends now.

Our Bora trip was way different from previous ones. Last year was a blast! We were there during holy week. Crowd was great and there were a lot of concerts and parties and we were with Asis’ friends. We were more “adventurous” on our previous trips compared now. This one was a “couples’ trip”. I’m not so into like this. *hihihi* And Asis and I are not so okay plus I couldn’t catch up with Michelle’s trip…way different from mine.

I was wasted on the 2nd night. Had tequila. It was superb! I’m no longer drinking beer, I don’t know why. I used to drink 5 to 8 bottles…Now, I doze off on the 3rd bottle *hahaha* shhhh…it’s a secret! *wink*

Xave and I took the parasail again but this time with Amae. I let the fly fish pass. I’ve tried it once and I don’t want to do it again. Once is enough for experience. My grip is just not that strong and I will surely fall. *haha* I don’t want to bump hard in the water.

I was looking forward to try the Bug car, but failed. We had no time to do it…☹

Last day was spent in our rooms watching Pacquiao’s fight whilst breakfast in bed. It was raining outside...

Our flight was delayed *as usual, what’s new?* and stayed at the Asian Sprit lounge in the airport. Had some Halo-halo and my fave tuna sandwich.

It was so HOT in Boracay! The heat was just piercing, the sun literally scorching my skin! No amount of SPF can prevent sunburns. I’m so roasted!

Back from Hongkong

I didn’t bring my iBook so I was not able to blog and update my Multiply. Besides, I had no time. Was out most of the time seeing places and looking for some “good buys”. *wink*

Here’s a quick run down on what I saw, what we did (and what I remember…) *hehehe*

1. Hongkong has a nice airport. Much better than Changi Airport of Singapore (if we are talking about airports in Asia).

2. There are 9 Milan Stations in HK. I was able to see 3 of them. One in Mongkok and two in Tsim Tsa Tsui.

3. HK lives in a lap of luxury. HK is an advanced, business-minded, materialistic city. *hahaha* Hongkongers will always love their designer labels.

4. HK is jammed with high-end shopping malls: a walk through downtown needn’t once involve stepping onto the pavement as all major buildings contain malls linked by overhead walkways.

Each of them bristles with the highest-profile brand names like Christian Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Hermes. Road-level stores boast prestigious car marques like Rolls Royce, Benz and Jaguar. And all of them brim with wealthy people who have money to burn.

5. Parking spaces are overly expensive (almost nor equal to brand new cars!) so most of Hongkongers cannot afford to have one. They usually WALK and take public transportations. I got to experience this for the entire 4 days and it was exhausting!!! I got blisters on my feet on the FIRST day! *sheez!*

6. People live in building/condos some in the mountains and there is NO earthquake in HK. Well, something common with Korea.

As for our itinerary, here it goes…

1st day (afternoon) was spent in Disneyland. Everyone knows that Disneyland brings out the child in us. It was so amusing! ☺

2nd day (morning) was our city tour and afternoon was our free time. We decided to see Ocean Park. It was still a holiday in HK so mostly of the HK nationals were also in there so you can just imagine how big the crowd was.

We were supposed to go to Nyong Ping 360 on the 3rd day but Xave and I preferred to shop instead. The entire day was used up for SHOPPING. Went Mongkok for the flea market where we bought some pasalubongs for friends and relatives then in the late afternoon we took the hotel shuttle to and from Tsim Tsa Tsui for the designer shops where I grabbed my handbag and Xave’s wallet.

Batignolles Vertical and Multiple both in Monogram Canvas

Last day was for our side trip to Macau. It was kinda “bitin” and we had to go back to HK earlier than the rest to make it for our flight back to Manila... We should’ve stayed for 5 days. *tsktsktsk*

Anyhow, we had a blast in HK! ☺ ☺ ☺

All my bags are packed...

Will be leaving for HK tomorrow morning and this shall be my last post in a couple of days. I had the biggest challenge two days back...ON HOW TO PACK LIGHT!!! Ugh! I've been stressing on what clothes and shoes to bring and finally decided to stick with my Havaianas!!! *hahaha* You can't go wrong with Havs *wink* I'm so tamad to think of what to wear each day and I just grabbed my favorites piques in different colors and a number of my trusted jeans and tadaaaaaa, I'm done! *teeheee*

So there you go my friends, I will be out and be back soon with more and more pictures & fun stories!

Stay tuned...=)

Did You Know...

1. Did you know that when you envy someone, it’s because you really like that person?

2. Did you know that those who appear to be very strong in heart, are real weaklings and most susceptible?

3. Did you know that those who spend their time protecting others are the ones that really need some one to protect them?

4. Did you know that the three most difficult things to say are : I LOVE YOU, SORRY and HELP ME. The people who say these are those that actually need them or really feel them, and they are the ones you really need to treasure, because they have said them.

5. Did you know that people who occupy themselves by keeping others company or helping others are the ones that actually need your company and help?

6. Did you know that those who dress in red are more confident in themselves?

7. Did you know that those who dress in yellow are those that enjoy their beauty?

8. Did you know that those who dress in black are those who want to be unnoticed and need your help and understanding?

9. Did you know that when you help someone, the help is returned in two folds?

10. Did you know that those who need more of you are those that did not mention it to you?

11. Did you know that it’s easier to say what you feel in writing than saying it to someone in the face? But did you know that it has more value when you say it in the face?

12. Did you know that what is most difficult for you to say or do is much more valuable than anything that is valuable that you can buy with money?

13. Did you know that if you ask for something in faith, your wishes are granted?

14. Did you know that you can make your dreams come true, like falling in love, becoming rich, staying healthy, if you ask for it by faith, and if you really knew, you’d be surprised by what you could do.

But don’t believe everything I tell you, until you try it for yourself, if you know someone that is in need of something that I mentioned of, and you know that you can help, you’ll see that it will be returned in two folds.

Gettin' Ready for Boracay

I always wanted to come prepared in any of my getaways! Now that our Bora trip would be in two weeks time, I was able to buy a few items to complete my summer vacation “must haves”.

I’m seriously looking forward on having my footsies step on the white sands of Boracay! Can’t wait any longer! Grrr!

Here’s what I got:

Roxy 2007 model of Number One in stripes of white and green

Raisins 2007 Ocean Bliss (I so love the cross back design!)

Roxy Reversible Hoody

Roxy Headband
Roxy Boardshorts

I’m dead craving for Choriburger (a.k.a. Longaburger)! I hate this feeling! *hahaha*
