I admit, I am not a pet lover. I never longed on having any pet and I don't remember having one in this lifetime. I like looking at them, I know how to appreciate but I don't like touching them.
I remember receiving a little lobster from a friend long time ago but I gave it away worrying it might die in my hands. I used to have this Tamagochi when everyone was so crazy about it. My pet died. I know my capabilities, my weaknesses and strengths because I know myself very well. Having a pet is really not my thing.
Today, something different happened.
We got a dog! It's an English Bulldog and we named him Kimbo. Xave is not fond of pets as well. He was bitten by a dog when he was a kid. He is more terrified of dogs than I am . But this time, he wanted to bring Kimbo home and he was successful. Now, why a sudden change of mind? *hahaha* Here's why.
Initially, we find him scary and fugly but as we watched him for several minutes (almost an hour I think) he became a dear sweetie to us. He has this "charisma" and we were struck by it. He is not noisy, he barks only when he needs to do something (poo-poo or wiwi), he is not "malikot", he is "malambing" and loves to play with us. That made us want to bring him home right and then.

looks can really be deceiving...
For the first time, Xave and I didn't feel any ickiness with Kimbo. What a total turn around of feelings! *hahaha* Proven, the only thing constant in this world is CHANGE.
People must learn how to embrace change. Not only in simple things but in all aspect as much as possible.
